GOOD KNIGHT AND GOODBYE

Full-length parody comedy for 11+ actors (4f/6m/1 any). A whimsical knight’s quest taking inspiration from THE PRINCESS BRIDE for a time when following the King isn’t such a good idea, actually.

11-20+ Actors (4F/7M), 90 mins

Recommended Audience: Ages 12+

Compare to: The Princess Bride, Shrek

Full-length. When a legendary knight is charged with a quest by the silly king to marry the rejected Disney archetype princess, a dark force plots to take the princess for himself. Along his quest, the knight develops feelings for the king's down-to-earth messenger.

Good Knight and Goodbye premiered at Conestoga Valley School District in Lancaster, PA in April 2010, directed by Suzanne Fisher.

This play was first published in 2019 with Heuer Publishing under the title Knights of the Square Table. An updated draft under the title Good Knight and Goodbye will release with Heuer later in 2026 and be available for licensing for professional, community, university, and school productions.
